The Pressure of Finding Your Passion

December 29, 2017

I completely admire those people who know what they want to do. They have a clear plan, goals and an unwavering ambition to get to where they want to be. You know the ones, those total 'Girlboss' types that strut around London in their heeled ankle boots and catch up on emails on Macbooks when on the train (instead of just gorming out the window or stalking people on Insta like I do)...

Why I stopped giving a fuck what other people thought I looked like

October 10, 2017

I was 7 when I first remember being called fat. By the age of 10, I hated P.E. At 13, I knowingly restricted my food intake in order to lose weight. I was finally classed 'normal sized' at the age of 15. Just before I turned 17, I met the love of my life. And by 19 I'd already put on weight. At 22 I was at my heaviest. And now, at 23... I am so sick of it all.

I guess this is growing up

September 21, 2017

I recently went to see an old favourite band called The Maine who I used to love when I was around 15/16 years old. I don't remember when I 'grew out' of them or stopped listening but my guess is when I was around 18/19.

What's so shameful about nudes?

September 06, 2017

If you have spent any length of time on the internet, you'll have probably heard of 'The Fappening'.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it is all about pictures/videos of (usually female) celebs being leaked onto the world wide web. These pictures are often nudes, of a sexual nature, sex tapes, private images etc. that are uploaded onto sites like 4chan and reddit by hackers who take the images and upload them without the person's consent.

I'm not going to go into great detail about how obviously wrong this is. Stealing anything from anyone is awful but publishing private images for the world to see is another level of shitty.

What I do want to talk about is how we view nudes and why we are still shaming women for taking them.
